The Stand By Me Gala is an event in support of fighting homophobia, and sexual and gender discrimination in sport.

Why the event?

Profits from this event go towards the Stand Up Events programs, in conjunction with Monash University.

Stand Up has hired Monash University to conduct world-first research as to why homophobia is still prevalent within male team dominated sports. Stand Up has designed Australian first preventative programs with current AFL players, in the hope of eradicating homophobic language and behaviour in grassroots sporting clubs – creating inviting and safe spaces for everyone to be themselves.
